Historically the main arrival and departure point for transatlantic liners, including the ill-fated Titanic, Southampton has some fascinating museums as well as great shopping and restaurants. It is also a great centre for exploring the counties of Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire where we can visit historic Salisbury and Stonehenge and the beautiful Stourhead House and Gardens.
