St Andrews & Falkland Palace Tour (half day tour)Through the pleasant countryside of the Kingdom of Fife, passing through picturesque villages before reaching the Royal Palace of Falkland, set in the heart of a medieval village. The Palace was the hunting lodge of eight Stuart Monarchs including Mary Queen of Scots, and is a fine example of Renaissance architecture. It is surrounded by internationally known gardens with the Royal Tennis Court, which is reputedly the world's oldest, and still in use today. A little further on we meet St Andrews, home of Scotlands Oldest University (1410) is now more famous as the birth place of Golf. A short tour of the town followed by free time to appreciate this small Scottish town of charm, and browse through the streets and shops. Back on the coach we pass the famous Old Course.
