Scenic Shetland (half day)

A tour of Lerwick, capital of the Shetland Isles and Britains most northerly town holds strong Viking connections. The town itself is compactly built of stone with narrow streets paved form side to side to give its inhabitants protection from the fierce winter gales. It has an almost unique atmosphere not found elsewhere in Scotland. West to the pleasing small town of Scalloway. Here we stop and guests have the chance to visit the Shetland Knitwear Factory and the ruined Castle of Scalloway and learn of its hidden past. Continuing through the beautiful unspoilt countryside and passing through remote villages before arriving at Weisdale Voe, one of the most scenic spots on Shetland with its dramatic coastline.
